I have received the sad news of JRA Daglish - Dick (1946, Brooks) passing on Monday 19th October.
From John Robertson (1951)...
"I can report the death of JRA Daglish – (Dick) on Monday 19the October following poor health over the past 2/3 years. My association with Dick started in 1942 in the Junior School in Brooks. Dick then left in 1946 to board at Rugby School.
He was a prominent player and committee member of the Liverpool Rugby Club from his early school days and was singly responsible for researching and recording the first 125 years history of the Club from 1857. I succeeded him as President of the Liverpool Club in 1985.
We both served in the TA together in 359 Med Regt RA following military service.
He had a successful business career and at one stage was the Secretary of the Liverpool Cotton Exchange.
We kept in very regular contact over all these years."
Our thoughts are with Dick's family at this difficult time.

Dave Burrows
