Lerpoolians farewell
Dear Friend,

I've been asked to pass on the following message from Nick Coulthard...

"Ref: Funeral of Douglas Coulthard 25 March 2020

With the alarming changes to the world we are in we are having to adapt swiftly. Mum (Muriel), nearly 82, has pulmonary fibrosis (terminal respiratory condition) and clearly a high risk candidate when considering covid19. Most of our relatives have already notified us that they are now, regrettably, unable to attend the funeral for very sensible reasons. It’s a great shame, but we must be pragmatic. Dad would have felt very strongly that we must adhere to the Governments guidance and direction.

With this in mind, Muriel and family would ask everyone to consider their own health, their risk to health, and that of those around them, given the current global health situation.  Whilst many well-wishers would want to pay their respects, we do ask all to consider the risks associated of gathering in enclosed spaces. No offence or disrespect will be taken by nonattendance at Douglas’s funeral."

Regards
Dave Burrows
