Obituaries

Chris had a genetic condition called Huntington's Disease which he had had a 50/50 chance of inheriting from his Mother's side. About 7 years ago, his physical conditions led him to get tested, and unfortunately, he was found to have the HTT gene mutation. Over the period since, his health slowly declined, and this was compounded by diabetes caused by damage to his pituitary gland after surgery to remove a non-cancerous brain tumour many years ago.

After leaving the college in 1987, myself and Chris attended Liverpool University to study Electronic Engineering. We both found work in the IT industry and kept in touch over the years. I'd regularly meet up with him and Steve Lomax for a beer and a game of pool in the South Cheshire area. Chris sadly passed away on 12th March 2023.
