David Chestnutt (Howson's, 1968) has passed on a message from one of David’s sisters, Sue Pakes….. 

"I’m very sorry to have to tell you that my brother, David Carter, sadly passed away yesterday morning (3rd August). Sadly, David had many medical ailments which were beginning to affect his ability to actively enjoy life. Unfortunately a urinary infection caused him to be admitted to Norfolk & Norwich hospital at the beginning of May. When this was cleared up he went to another Norwich hospital for rehab but further infections there meant he never made the progress which we’d all hoped for. On June 24th he was transferred to a lovely care home in Cawston - the village where he’d originally started his life in Norfolk nearly 40 years ago. His deterioration there continued but he actually died quite suddenly but very peacefully.”

David, a Chartered Accountant, had sold his practice and retired within the last four years & moved from Park Farm, Mileham to Holt. He is survived by his son, Sam and daughter, Indira. His brother, Paul (1970) is also an OL.
