Good poetry distils the truth,
And sets it out as smooth as satin:
The gems acquired since days of youth,
Expressed in English, Welsh or Latin,
Or any other tongue we speak,
When holding out the hand of greeting.
May each man find what he might seek,
By simple thought and civil meeting.
